Ok fantasy
owners, it's beginning to feel like Fantasy Football Season. The
debates, the columns, the talk shows, they are coming out of the
word-work.
Typically,
by mid July, you can't go into a bookstore without seeing 15-20
FFL magazines lining the shelves. Throw in on-line websites, cable
TV shows, and your co-worker in the cubicle next to you, and for
the next two months it's like being a kid waiting for Santa Claus,
counting down the weeks, the days, the hours, the minutes
until finally
DRAFT DAY!!!
So what's
your strategy? Running back/running back in the first two rounds?
Grab a top quarterback and his go-to receiver, and hope you strike
lightning in a bottle, ala Brady/Moss 2007? Take the best available
all the way through until you have a potent starting line-up?
There
are so many different approaches, and each one will garner debate.
Your strategy
may also depend on league scoring, or on the number of each position
you must play weekly. But your most important element to success
is how well educated you are and how to maintain that edge on
the other guys?
Well the
crew here at FantasyInsiders.com will make sure to keep you up
to speed on all things to help make your living room, den or office
cubicle Title Town USA 2008.
Last year
I wrote the column "The Wire", but this year the name
is changing. The content will pretty much remain the same, but
the column will now be known as The F.I.S.T. for FantasyInsiders
Stock Trader.
Players
will be rated like commodities or stocks, and will be graded as
a Buy, Sell, Hold or Trade.
Plus,
there will be, IPO's, "Insightful Personal Opinions".
These will be players with value but has slipped under the radar.
They could be that deep, deep sleeper, or that tried and true
veteran who is set to deliver one more really good season, or
at minimum a solid stretch of games to get you through. Think
Kurt Warner ala '07
With the
information provided in each column you will be building a great
portfolio that should keep you in the hunt all season long.
